Bandit wasn’t just my dog. He was my beginning and the reason Tailored Tails Studio exists.
He came into my life like a lot of dogs do, and showed me what love looks like when it’s loyal, and entirely unconditional.
He taught me more about patience, trust, and care than any other dog did. Tailored Tails Studio exists because of him — and for every dog like him that just needs someone to see them, slow down, and actually care.
But he also showed me something else.
Every time I dropped him off at a traditional grooming salon — the chaos, the crates, the noise — I saw how much it stressed him out. He’d shake. He’d come home over-washed and under-loved.
After seeing too many dogs like him get stressed, caged, and rushed through chaotic grooming chains, I made a vow right then and there
“If I ever had the chance, I’d create something better.
If I ever opened my own grooming studio, I’d do everything the opposite way.”
So I did. Tailored Tails Studio is that promise, fulfilled — a space where calm is the default, natural is non-negotiable, and every dog is treated like Bandit: with patience, presence, and total care.
And that’s why you’ll see Bandit’s likeness in the Tailored Tails Studio logo — he’s the reason I do this the way I do.

Tailored Tails Studio began after I saw firsthand the harmful effects of chemical-heavy grooming on sensitive-skinned dogs. After over 12 years of real-world grooming experience (and 6 of those years in a vet environment), I built my studio to give dogs a cleaner, calmer, better experience, because I was tired of the industry pretending dogs are objects on an assembly line.
They’re not. They’re family.
So I built a grooming experience that reflects that — one dog at a time, in a quiet, focused space, using only natural products, and with honest feedback you can actually use.
